Health insurance claims

•  Many insurance policies have acupuncture coverage. We are more than happy to verify benefits and will manage all of the billing and paperwork associated with the insurance submission.  Circle Acupuncture is currently contracted/in-network with: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare/UMR, Kaiser, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, Triwest, MedRisk, Pinnolcol, and Landmark.
• The patient is responsible for paying deductibles, copays and any outstanding balance after insurance payment to cover the full visit cost. We will submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner and will do our best to explain all coverage and payment information in detail with the patient. • Both HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) and FSAs  (Flexible Spending or Flexible Savings Accounts) are offered by many health insurance companies, and both cover acupuncture. Many HSAs and FSAs give you a debit card that will cover health expenditures; it works just like a regular debit card. Or, if your health insurance company reimburses you for your expenses, just ask us to email you an invoice after your session. Many health insurance companies allow you to conveniently submit reimbursements online.
•  Starting January 2023, acupuncture will be an Essential Health Benefit (EHB) in Colorado, and plans will be providing 6 visits per year for each insurance member. Contact us for more info.
• We also take a Medicare Advantage Plan only (The plan covers 12 visits per year)

• In the state of Colorado, automobile insurance companies are required to include a minimum amount of medical coverage (called "Med Pay" for short). This coverage was put in place to help with at least the first $5,000 in medical costs following a motor vehicle accident. You do not have to find an in-network provider to use your Med Pay, you just need to find a practitioner that is willing to do the paperwork and billing involved with MVA cases (such as myself). [Note: If you plan on using your "Med Pay," be sure to provide me your claim number and agent's name and contact.]

• Personal Injury ("PI" for short) is not exactly the same but if you are hurt on the job, your employer typically carries an insurance policy that will also help cover some of your medical expenses. Like Med Pay, make sure you bring in your claim number and your agent's name and contact.

• Your health insurance company may also cover Acupuncture treatment. MedPay coverage has two advantages over a health insurance claim. First, your auto insurance will also cover other people who were in your vehicle at the time of the accident.  Second, it’s easier and faster than health insurance billing, and time is of the essence when dealing with a recent injury!

•  Before you come in for treatments, we need your basic auto insurance information. We will call your insurance company before your first treatment, to ensure that your plan covers acupuncture. Then, we’ll start scheduling your treatments.  You’ll be feeling better and back to your normal lifestyle before you know it!

  Do you need Worker’s Comp services? Perhaps you’ve suffered an on-the-job injury resulting from a chronic, repetitive stress injuries (RSI) like

• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Low back pain
• Upper back pain
• Headaches or migraines
• Other joint pain related to the physical stress of your job, even if your job is rather sedentary

Other work-related injuries can occur from any number of accidents, like

• Back injuries from lifting equipment
• Slipping on ice outside your workplace
• Other odd or out of the ordinary situations
