what to expect
For Your First Appointment
• Before your initial appointment, please complete the health history intake form found by clicking on the button below the image, or here. Please email the completed form to circleacu1@gmail.com or bring it with you to your appointment. This will allow for more time talking and less time filling out paperwork. It is also highly recommended that you eat within an hour before arriving.
• If you are unable to do so, you may also complete this form in the office. Please get to the clinic five minutes before your scheduled appointment so you’ll have time to fill out the new patient intake form. You can relax with our natural herb tea at the waiting room.
• Dr. Lee will meet you there and take you into a treatment room to speak in private. No special clothing is necessary; as whatever you are wearing you will likely remove for treatment. You’ll change in private, and be covered throughout your treatment.
• First appointment generally takes about an 80 minutes (For 60 minutes session), and follow ups about 60 minutes. You can ask any questions you might have to your practitioner. It also allows time for your practitioner to ask you lots of questions and also to examine your tongue and take your pulse in the service of making a Chinese medical diagnosis. According to your Chinese medical diagnosis, acupuncture meridian points will be chosen, and other modalities may also be performed or suggested, including moxa, gua sha, cupping and Tuina (Asian massage). You may be also prescribed some Chinese herbs or other supplements.
• For Your Herbal Formula
Dr. Lee may prescribe an herbal formula for you. A formula can be pills, concentrates, or granules so you are easy and convenient to take. Herbs are always chosen to address your specific pattern of symptoms for effectiveness and safety.
All the herbs we recommend are from companies we know and trust and so are subject to high levels of quality control. We never use any substance derived from an endangered species or that involves the inflicting of pain on a sentient being.
